Secure Payment Systems & EFT Canada
Offer Gift & Loyalty Card Programs To Canadian Merchant Channels

(San Diego, CA) Secure Payment Systems (SPS), a national leader of value added payment services and transaction processing is pleased to announce that it has formed a strategic partnership with EFT Canada, Inc. (TSX-V: EFT), a publicly traded company based in Toronto Ontario and leading provider of electronic transaction processing services and payment enabling technologies, to deliver an industry-leading gift and loyalty card program to the Canadian marketplace. Through this strategic partnership, EFT Canada will utilize SPS’s innovative technology platforms to provide clients with a comprehensive, easy-to-use, and affordable set of generic and custom card programs that increase customer visits, enhances revenue and enables small to medium sized merchants to compete with the larger retailers.

Though SPS offers its services on many different POS terminals as well as proprietary retail POS software platforms, the companies initially expect to launch its service on the Lipman Nurit 8320 multi-application terminal as well as the Tech Trex “Prime Trex” terminal both of which are small footprint and easy-to-use POS devices.

Linden Fellerman, President and CEO of Secure Payment Systems stated, "SPS has created the perfect program for EFT Canada’s independent sales agents and customers by leveraging an already substantial U.S. processing portfolio to create attractive price points and highly competitive products. The SPS gift and loyalty product line works well for EFT Canada prospective clients given it is a fully secure and accountable payment solution that is still in its infancy stage in Canada." Fellerman added, "SPS's strategy fits nicely with EFT Canada’s market presence and proposed product offering."

“With the increasing popularity of gift and loyalty card acceptance, this relationship is another example of how EFT Canada is providing our merchant customers with the tools they need to grow their businesses,” said Jonathan Pasternak, President of EFT Canada. “By adding another product dimension to our already robust product and services portfolio, EFT Canada is providing our customers with additional opportunities to gain a competitive edge and increase market share. SPS has already established themselves as a premier gift card provider. Their specialized focus and proven experience in this arena made them the ideal partner for delivering an innovative and comprehensive set of gift and loyalty stored value card programs to our prospective Canadian clients and resellers.”
